Managing Portals
If you are a Group Admin or Portal admin, you are able to manage portals and have access to the Manage Portal menu in the portal gateway.

The Portal List shows the portals within your group
This is where you can add a new portal or manage your existing portals.
Click Add to Add a new portal
or
Click on the Name of the Portal from the list to:
See the name and description of your portal
See the portal owner
Activate or deactivate the portal
Manage portal members
Curate the portal data from the group’s data sources
Managing a Portal’s details and status
Editing Portal Details allows the portal admin to update the name, description, and type of portal. The Type of portal may be private or group. A private portal is only available to the portal admin.
Deactivating a Portal will make it immediately unavailable to any users. The status of the Portal in the Portal Gateway for all users will turn to “Inactive” and it will not be possible to open the Portal Map. A deactivated portal can be reactivated from the Manage Portals/ Portal Details screen.
Replacing a Portal Owner will present you with other Group Portal Admins who can be assigned to this role. A Portal Owner will receive notifications in the DTV Platform when users wish to gain access to a restricted Portal that they administer.
Managing Membership
Portal Admins may add or remove members to a specific portal. The members must be within a group membership. Consult your Group Admin to invite a member to your portal if you cannot find them in a list.
Portal Data
Portals are curated to deliver particular content to users. The Data Catalogue groups them into three categories:
Public Data - The thousands of datasets curated by DTV within the Victorian Digital Twin
Group Data - All the data available to your entire group
Portal Data - The datasets specifically for this Portal
The Portal Administrator may curate the specific data for a portal. This is achieved by selecting datasets from the data-sources established by your group administrator. The portal will show the available data-sources you have at your disposal. Click on Edit Portal Data to then configure which data will appear in your portal.
Once opened the Portal Administrator may turn on specific datasets. Click SAVE CHANGES to complete.
