Note the Line of Sight Instructions will appear in the top left of the screen
    1. Choose an origin point by clicking on the map. This can be difficult and and may take some practice to ensure that your origin point is on the surface of the 3D object and not inside of it. As the map is in 3D, the aspect angle is important, a common mistake is the origin point being inside the building (so there is no line of sight) and placed incorrectly many metres from the desired location due to placement.  These issues can be alleviated by zooming into the map to ensure correct placement of the origin point.

You may receive the this pop up if you are in a map setting other than the 3D Terrian Map View
    image-20240322-025138.png
Change the map view via the Map Settings button at the top of the screen if required
    1. Place origin point on the top of the building (zoom in to ensure accurate placement). After placement, it is suggested that the user move around the map to confirm correct placement. the Origin point is indicated by the label on the map, location and elevation details will be displayed in the left hand panel

    image-20240322-031721.png
    1. The height where the origin was selected was determined to be 10m. For this exercise we will change the height. Click the Change height button. Change height to 20m, then hit Apply button. This will shift the origin point.

    9.  Add a destination (Target 1) by clicking a point on the map. Choose a clear line of sight pathway. A line will be created between the points of interest (green if there is clear sight; red if there is not).

    image-20240322-032403.png

    10.  Add a new destination (target 2) by clicking anywhere on the map. Again, this will show the result in the left hand pane.

    image-20240322-032511.png

    11.  Now add a third destination, choose an obstructed pathway with no clear line of sight.

    image-20240322-032642.png

    12.  The line of sight result will be presented in the left hand panel. The obstructed pathways will be identified In red, but the part of the line from the origin to the obstruction will be green. Note that the elevation can be changed (e.g. increase to 40m) and the line of sight will be updated for each destination point.
